3. Passion Fruit Cake
Ingredients
1 baking sheet sponge cake (11x15x1 inch)
ring tin (2 inch) for press cake
ring tin (2 inch)
aluminum foil for placing cake
For passion fruit cream
1 tablespoon gelatin power
40 cc hot water
100 g passion fruit puree
100 g granulated sugar
3 eggs yolk
1/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 food color (yellow)
50 g salted butter, Golden Churn brand
150 g cream cheese
Directions
- Dissolve gelatin powder with hot water, stir until smooth; set aside.
- Put together passion fruit puree, sugar, eggs yolk, salt, food color and butter in bowl and gradually stir in the boiling water until it is cooked
and thicken. Remove from heat and add the dissolved gelatin, mix
until combine; set aside.
- Beat the cream cheese in the mixer using a flat beater on medium speed for 5 minutes. Add hot passion fruit mixed, beat until combine.
- Press sponge cake with ring tin and then turn it into the other ring tin and put cream cheese mixed. Take in refrigerator until it is formed.
- Glaze with agar mix and again take in refrigerator until it is formed. Remove the cake from the ring tin and decorate as desire.
For the agar glazing
100 cc passion fruit juice
50 cc water
1/2 teaspoons gelatin powder
50 g granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoons food color (yellow)
Directions : Put all together ingredients and heat until boil, remove from heat
and keep warm ; set aside. |
