11. Butter Cookies
Ingredients
350 g all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
180 g salted butter, Golden Churn brand
180 g icing sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons evaporated milk
green and red cherry slice for decorating
greased baking sheet
Directions
- Sift together flour, baking powder and vanilla extract, mix until combine; set aside.
- Beat the butter with icing sugar in the mixer using a flat beater on medium speed for 6 minutes. Change speed to low and then add egg,
evaporated milk and flour mixed, beat until combine.
- Turn the dough in plain tube and press it off onto the prepared baking sheet, decorate the top with green and red cherry slice.
- Bake at 400oF for 5 minutes, leave to cool and then transfer the cookies to bake at 300oF for 10 minutes or until cookies are golden and crispy.
