11. Butter Cookies

Ingredients

350 g all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
180 g salted butter, Golden Churn brand
180 g icing sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons evaporated milk
green and red cherry slice for decorating
greased baking sheet

Directions

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder and vanilla extract, mix until combine; set aside.
  2. Beat the butter with icing sugar in the mixer using a flat beater on medium speed for 6 minutes. Change speed to low and then add egg,             
    evaporated milk and flour mixed, beat until combine.          
  3. Turn the dough in plain tube and press it off onto the prepared baking sheet, decorate the top with green and red cherry slice.
  4. Bake at 400oF for 5 minutes, leave to cool and then transfer the cookies to bake at 300oF for 10 minutes or until cookies are golden and crispy.
